CARFAX GIVES DETROIT CONSUMERS WEEK’S WORTH OF FREE GAS ON AUG. 6 FOR UPCOMING NASCAR NATIONWIDE SERIES CARFAX 250

August 6, 2008
Detroit area consumers get a break from high gas prices this Wednesday, Aug. 6. From 7-9am, drivers can fill up their tanks with $2.50 gas at the Dearborn Mobil, located at 12841 Michigan Ave., in Dearborn, Mich. With the money saved from paying just under $4/gallon normally, CARFAX and its dealer customers are lending a helping hand by offering drivers the equivalent of a week’s worth of free gas.

CARFAX is the title sponsor of the upcoming NASCAR Nationwide Series CARFAX 250 at Michigan International Speedway on Aug. 16. Commuters and race fans at the gas event will be the first to see the official pace car of the CARFAX 250 and tickets for the race will be available for purchase.

Editor’s note: Heavy traffic is expected in the vicinity of Michigan Ave. and Oakman Blvd. starting around 6am. Please advise commuters accordingly.
