CARFAX is the title sponsor of the CARFAX 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race, formerly the NASCAR Busch Series at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). CARFAX first became the title sponsor of the race in 2006.
The CARFAX 250 has attracted NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars including Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler, Martin Truex Jr. and others. In 2006, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. won the race in a cloud of controversy. Denny Hamlin walked away with a win in the 2007 CARFAX 250.
"There's an obvious synergy between CARFAX and NASCAR racing that makes this relationship with MIS work so well," said Larry Gamache, communications director for CARFAX. "NASCAR fans are car fans, and car fans use CARFAX Reports."
